Power Station Maintenance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within BWSC Generation Services UK Ltd at Brigg Renewable Energy Plant, a straw fired power plant supplying over 40MW of clean renewable electricity in North Lincolnshire.

Job Description
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the management and development of the Engineering & Maintenance team, to ensure continued safe generation and environmental performance of the plant. 

Specific Deliverables 

  • Ensure the plant is maintained on a 24/7 basis with respect to safety, environmental & OEM-best practice, to achieve the highest levels of availability and reliability.
  • Accountable for establishing the long-term engineering integrity, outage and proactive maintenance strategy for all Mechanical, Electrical and C&I assets.
  • Accountable for the maintenance budgets & contracts.
  • Establish and maintain the sites asset risk register to provide guidance and information to the stations capital business plan. 
  • Responsible for the management and delivery of outages
  • Responsible for implementing plant modifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should be degree educated in an engineering discipline, with a high practical/theoretical knowledge of thermal plant maintenance and engineering. (Qualifications below this may be acceptable if accompanied by suitable experience).

Applicants must have previous management experience, within a technical engineering area and a sound mechanical, electrical or C&I background.

Experience of biomass or thermal power plant process, with extensive contract management is desirable.
