JOB REFERENCE: TSLGJ0818 LOCATION: Lincoln, Lincolnshire JOB TITLE: Grounds Maintenance Person SALARY & BENEFITS: Starting salary approximately £16,664 per annum depending on experience. WORKING HOURS: 7:30am - finish THE COMPANY: Our client, based in Lincoln, and established in 1983 is one of the leading Grounds Maintenance firms in the East Anglia region. They maintain grounds for numerous housing associations and schools throughout East Anglia and through continued expansion have room to recruit for a grounds maintenance person to help with their Lincoln contracts. THE ROLE: The successful Grounds Maintenance person will start their day at 7:30am. They'll have a look at the day ahead and gather tools/machinery required for the job. They will travel in a team of 2 to their location and will carry out various duties that could include: grass cutting, hedge cutting and shrub bed maintenance. Your day will be very busy and flexibility will be required with regards to finish times. Key Responsibilities of Grounds Maintenance Person to include:- To be safety aware when dealing with machinery and chemicals during the days. To remain customer focused at all times whilst at the location of the job as there may be vulnerable people ie elderly/children in the area. To liaise with the other Grounds Maintenance Person with regards to the days duties and plan your workload to get the work done. To ensure that all work is logged on to the PDA device at the end of the day before leaving. THE CANDIDATE: Our client based in Lincoln, is not looking for any specific industry qualifications, just previous experience working outdoors. Our client is looking for a hard worker with common sense who's conscientious, self motivated and thinks about their daily duties and surroundings at all times. You will take ownership of the work being carried out and take pride in what you’re doing. You must enjoy working outdoors in all weathers. Key experience essential for the role of a Grounds Maintenance Person: The applicant must have a driving licence with entitlement to tow a trailer. Must be willing to undertake a DBS check. Someone who has previous experience working outdoors. Previous experience working with pedestrian/ride on lawnmowers/hedge trimmers or strimmers will be advantageous. PA1 & PA6 Spraying Certificate would be an advantage but not essential Candidates with a driving licence with BE entitlement that enables them to tow a trailer is essential. Does this sound like you?
