The University is seeking to appoint an Associate Tutor for Counselling. This is a part time role for a period of eleven months in the first instance. The post holder will be required to teach for 220 hours and contribute to a range of activities that provide support to teaching; these are covered in the job description and supporting information.

You will have experience of working in counselling setting and appropriate teaching experience in any sector. You will be keen to join the team supporting this growing course. Counselling is currently taught as part of a joint honours course with Psychology. You will be an inspiring and enthusiastic colleague with a varied and relevant set of relevant experiences.

The appointment will be made at our current Visiting Tutor rate (£41.47 per hour) for a contracted 220 hours of teaching work. Payment will be annualised over a period of eleven months. The post will be subject to review during the business planning cycle for 2016-2017 starting in April 2017.

A full range of policies related to conditions of service is in place or under review. These are contained in the Staff Information File provided on appointment. Professional induction is conducted during the first year, which is probationary.

The contract commits staff to a range of professional criteria and responsibilities, including work which the University may require as the need arises.
