Our client is a worldwide producer of products used in the Automotive industry. We are currently recruiting for an experienced QHSE Manger from a production or engineering background. Salary GBP37000 - GBP42000 Per Annum + Company Car (+ Expenses) & Benefits. Key Accountabilities. The main purpose of this role is to ensure compliance to and maintenance of policies and procedures for ISO /TS16949 and ISO14001 other audits through robust working practices. You will be the key point of contact for Customer queries relating to QHS&E matters and ensure customer documentation for all active supplied components for the customer is sustained. You will ensure all calibration equipment remains accurate through regular maintenance and tests, and carry out inspections of products at various stages of the production process. You will be responsible for all Quality, Health, Safety & Environment matters, which includes the identification and implementation of accident prevention measures and management, to ensure a safe working environment is achieved and maintained at all times. Duties and Responsibilities. o To manage the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Department o Administer and maintain all company policies inclusive of ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001: * Provide and complete Internal in line with TS16949 as required, * Report all changes and maintain current information reporting to the Operations Manager. o Administer and maintain Corrective Action procedures. Responsibilities and duties include: * Initiate & Issue Corrective Action Request's, and Non Conformance Reports (NCR's), * Investigating root causes in conjunction with Production, Materials and Sales Associates, * Determining the Counter-Measures that will correct the Non-Conformance, * Initiate & complete the Counter-Measure & ensure completion and provide follow-ups, * Submitting required Corrective Action to the customer's representative on a timely basis, * Communicating the details of the Counter-Measure to the interested members of the responsible departments. * Arrange for evaluation of the product upon receipt according to the Non-Conformance Procedure, arrange sorting or repair, and will return to inventory or scrap the remaining product. o Provide assistance and answers to customer questions regarding product specifications, tolerances, storage and handling issues, and applications. Gathering product data from lot certification files or technical data sheets at the customer's request. When the requested information is not available, it must be requested from the supplier.o Maintain and up-lift current quality manuals and documentation systems o Maintain the Calibration system of equipment to ensure that all records and the testing of equipment are within the quality standard. Send equipment to obtain calibration when required and update records accordingly.o Support converting sites, focusing on top issues, problem solving and prevention towards other converting sites.o Improve quality capabilities - e.g. claim handling, feasibility study, PPAP. o Improve QMS by identifying best in class examples and deploy them towards other converting sites. o Interact with NE Product Management/QA/Manufacturing * Identify EPT/NVH material improvement opportunities which are beneficial towards converting site/customers. * Capture/analyse lessons learned for continuous improvement, in relation to spec-in activities and parts design. o Conduct risk assessment and risk mitigation measures on-site and before commencement of projects. o Undertake corrective and preventive measures to ensure a proper environment and health for the organisation and its stakeholders. o Investigates, analyses and reviews accidents or near misses within the organisation and propose corrective or preventive measures.o To ensure regular emergency response is effective and that managers and employees are prepared at all times, design and conduct drills, both announced and unannounced. o Responsible for ensuring that all employees are properly informed about the working, environmental and safety policies of the organisation and update systems accordingly. o Coordinate HSE team and ensure that work safety permits are enforced where applicable. o Ensure that all HSE representatives are updated on a regular basis and remain aware of their daily duties and responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:You will be educated to degree/HND in a Material, Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering discipline or have relevant experience in a the automotive industry.NEBOSH & IOSHH relevant experience This position will involve travel to working sites based in both the UK and abroad. A Company car is provided.
