Sales Manager – Commercial Boilers Job Title: Business Development Manager – Commercial Boilers Industry Sector: Commercial boilers, pumps, flues, heat exchanges, plant rooms, wall hung boilers, floor standing modular boilers, M&E consultants, M&E contractors, local authorities, plumbing and heating contractors Area to be covered: North, ideally based North West Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 20% Bonus Benefits: Fully expensed Car Comprehensive Benefits The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Commercial Boilers will involve: Field sales position selling wall hung boilers and floor standing modular boilers Commercial heating sell, you must have an understanding of the full commercial heating solution including: pumps, flues, heat exchanges, plant rooms etc 80% new business development, 20% account management Following up on Barber ABI leads, but our client receives commercial boiler leads daily so very little cold calling Only a small project bank to inherit as the area has struggled with poor field sales representation in recent times Approximately 50% of this time will be spent gaining specifications with local authorities, M&E contractors and M&E consultants 40% of your time will be spent with plumbing & heating contractors / installers and 10% with plumbing & heating merchants such as Plumbase Industrial, and Plumb Centre Industrial Currently approx 70% of the boilers are sold direct into the M&E contractors and 40% into the plumbing & heating merchants, but our client would ideally like to see an increase in sales through the plumbing & heating merchants as it helps build relationships which increases the flow of lead information etc Targeted purely on commercial boilers sold you will be expected to increase sales of wall hung boilers from 100 to 200 next year, as well as increasing sales of floor standing modular boilers from 10 to 20 next year Average order value wall hung boilers approx. £2,500, free standing modular boilers £7,000 Typical projects will include; Schools, Universities, Hotels, Sports Pavilions and Nursing homes The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Commercial Boilers with: Must be able to hit the ground running, hence must come from a commercial plumbing and heating background Must have sold technical commercial plumbing & heating products through M&E Ideally sold associated products to boilers such as; pipes, fittings, water heaters, biomass boilers or heat pumps / renewable energy Must be able to put together a full commercial heating solution including: pumps, flues, heat exchanges, plant rooms etc Proven track record in field sales Autonomous in approach Good solid work ethic and ‘get up and go’ Trustworthy and self motivated Enthusiastic, Hungry The Company: Est. 25Years Circa £35m turnover 60 employees Privately held, part of a larger group Mitchell Maguire is a specialist construction field sales recruitment consultancy, dealing exclusively with construction field sales jobs, construction field sales vacancies and specification field sales positions within: commercial boilers, domestic boilers, wall-hung boilers, floor standing modular boilers, water heaters, hot water solutions, continuous flow hot water, water systems, hot water systems, storage tank, water treatment, solar, solar thermal, gas water heaters, twin flow, heat pumps, heating radiators and associated plumbing and heating products
