Temporary HR Adviser
Mansfield District Council has a unique opportunity available for a Temporary HR Adviser to join the team. The role is a full time, temporary position for 12 months offering a salary of £25,951 - £30,153 per annum plus casual car user payment as necessary.
As one of the largest employers in the area we offer a wide range of services across the district including housing repairs, parks and green spaces, neighbourhood wardens, environmental health, planning and customer services to name just a few.
What are the responsibilities of the Temporary HR Adviser?
We are looking for an individual to join the Mansfield and Ashfield HR Shared Service team, based at the Civic Centre in Mansfield. This is specifically to support a number of service reviews and key projects across the shared service.
As a HR Adviser you will provide a high quality, effective, customer- focused HR service to managers, employees and other partners across Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils in line with legislation, organisational policies and best practice.
Working as a business partner you will advise on a range or employment and employee relations matters including attendance management and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, recruitment, organisational change and job evaluation. In addition, you will actively support the development of the HR Service through policy, process and performance improvement.
You will be required to work across multiple sites in the Mansfield and Ashfield Area.
What do we look for in a Temporary HR Adviser?
You will be a Chartered member of the CIPD or an Associate Member of the CIPD or have a Level 5 qualification in a relevant subject, plus relevant advisory experience within a HR environment. You should have experience in providing guidance and advice to managers and employees on a wide range of human resources issues including employee relations and organisational change which may be sensitive in nature.
