Mansfield District Council has a unique opportunity available for a HR Adviser to join the team. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £25,951 - £30,153 per annum plus casual car user payment as necessary.

What are the responsibilities of the HR Adviser?

We are looking for an experienced individual to join the Mansfield and Ashfield HR Shared Service team, based at the Civic Centre in Mansfield. As a HR Adviser you will provide a high quality, effective, customer- focused HR service to managers, employees and other partners across Mansfield and Ashfield District Councils in line with legislation, organisational policies and best practice.

Working as a business partner you will advise on a range or employment and employee relations matters including attendance management and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, recruitment, organisational change and job evaluation. In addition, you will actively support the development of the HR Service through policy, process and performance improvement.

You will be required to work across multiple sites in the Mansfield and Ashfield Area.

What do we look for in a HR Adviser?

You will be a Chartered member of the CIPD or an Associate Member of the CIPD or have a Level 5 qualification in a relevant subject, plus relevant advisory experience within a HR environment. You should have experience in providing guidance and advice to managers and employees on a wide range of human resources issues including employee relations and organisational change which may be sensitive in nature.
