Admin Assistant - Category Management
Location: Scunthorpe, permanent/full time
Salary: £16k+ per annum + benefits
Job Purpose: To provide a Category Management function for the membership group.
Reports to: Head of Format & Category Development

Key Result Areas:
* To offer the membership group a fully functional Category Management solution which enables them to maintain and develop their business offering by format type.
* To construct appropriate planograms across format types using recognised Category Management software, as directed by the Category Management Manager and business needs.
* To achieve and maintain professional standards across all aspects of the role in respect of work undertaken, and deal with staff at all levels of the business in a manner appropriate to their needs.

Job Knowledge
* Working knowledge and use of the Automated Planogram system (desired but training will be given)
* Excellent working knowledge and application of Microsoft office
Packages, in particular Excel (must be at level 2 Standard)
* Knowledge of activities, business operations and central office/field operations.
* Understanding of shopper missions/profiles would be an advantage

Specific Areas of Work:
* Administer the Automated Planogram system to create accurate and relevant planograms as required.
* Manage Core Range updates to ensure relevance to planograms.
* Administer weekly updates for all planograms as required.
* Assist with member trials with the Category Management Team.
* Assist with Category Product Group reviews as directed by the Category Management Team, involved in meetings with both internal and external parties
* General maintenance of the Automated Planogram system.
* Provide general administration duties including creation of reports as required.
* Undertake other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by the Category Management Team.
* Be responsible for the creation of the Periodic Promotional planograms as per the set procedure in place.

* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy; attention to detail/high accuracy.
* Excellent knowledge of general IT skills.
* Excellent organisational and administration skills.
