Category Management Co-Ordinator
Location: Scunthorpe, permanent/full time
Salary: £20-22k per annum + benefits
Job Purpose: To control and manage the total Category Management process from conception to delivery to the membership.
Reports to: Category Management Manager

Key Result Areas:
* To offer the membership group a fully functional Category Management solution which enables them to maintain and develop their business offering by format type.
* To construct appropriate planograms across format types using recognised Category Management software, as directed by the Category Management Manager and business needs.
* To support and train the Category Management Assistants to be effective in their roles.
* To achieve and maintain professional standards across all aspects of the role in respect of work undertaken, and deal with staff at all levels of the business in a manner appropriate to their needs.

Job Knowledge
* Working knowledge and use of the Automated Planogram Website.
* Excellent working knowledge and application of Microsoft office
Packages, in particular Excel.
* Knowledge of activities, business operations and central office/field operations.
* Understanding of shopper missions and profiles.

Specific Areas of Work:
* Administer the Automated Planogram Website to create accurate and relevant planograms as required.
* Manage core range updates to ensure relevance to planograms.
* Weekly update of all planograms produced.
* Organise and carry out member trials with the assistance of the relevant departments.
* Responsibility for ensuring all categories are reviewed in accordance with the mutually agreed Category Review calendar.
* General maintenance of the Automated Planogram Web site.
* Co-ordinate and carry out general Category Management adhoc work for members, field based retail colleagues and other internal colleagues as necessary.
* Provide general administration duties including creation of reports as required.
* Liaison with Category Management software supplier, as required.
* Attendance at Category Management Software supplier training workshops as deemed necessary.
* Communicate any Category Management updates to the business at relevant meetings as required.
* Undertake other ad-hoc tasks and projects as directed by the Category Management Manager.
* Co-Ordinate workflow and workload of the Category Management team.
* Assist the Category Management Manager in achieving the Business Plan targets.
