Financial Accounting Analyst (Statutory) (Job ID: 37661)

The Financial Accounting Analyst (Statutory) will be involved in the preparation of IFRS statutory financial statements for all UK Phillips 66 legal entities and consolidated financial statements.  Also US GAAP and IFRS financial accounting for complex transactions, legal entity restructuring, investments and dividends.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Responsibility for the consolidation of US GAAP financials by branch to create legal entity financials and adjusting these to an IFRS basis.
  • Preparation of multiple IFRS financial statements including disclosures and providing all required analysis to support the external audit of these.
  • Owner of the in-house software used to create the financial statements.
  • Responsibility for determining and executing the correct financial accounting in both US GAAP and IFRS for complex transactions, including corporate restructuring activity, investments and dividends.
  • Posting financial entries as required.
  • Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Liaising with and management of, internal and external audit.
  • Ad-hoc accounting projects.


  • Legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom without restriction
  • Strong financial and analytical background, having a recognised professional accounting qualification
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Strong inter-personal, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to understand and comply with corporate policies
  • IT skills - strong Excel and ideally SAP
