Reports to: Production Manager

The Company

My Client has an exciting new opportunity within a long established manufacturing organization, using a variety of Machining and Fabrication processes to manufacture their products from our modern purpose built facility located in Nottinghamshire.

They supply components into the civil and military Aerospace and Defense industry sectors, and have a vision to develop these and wider markets making the working environment fascinating and challenging.

A requirement has now arisen for an experienced Sub Contract Co-Ordinator to join the Company.

Duties and responsibilities

 This position reports directly to the Production Manager, residing within the Production Control area of responsibility within the Operations Team.

 Experience of dealing with Supply Chains

 Working to tight deadlines to support on time delivery metrics.

 Scheduling Drivers for deliveries and collections to Customers and Suppliers.

 Raising of all Subcontract orders and responsible for the booking in process upon receipt of goods.

 Monitoring costs for both treatments and transportation.

 Partaking in team activities such as 5s and other improvement activities.

 Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment and practices.

 Highlighting Vendor Non Conformances and working with the Quality Department to resolve issues.

 Visiting suppliers

 Based on a 39 hour working week with overtime when required. Mon - Thurs 7.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30 - 12.30pm (Flexibility in this role is essential)

Qualifications

Qualifications are not essential but Applicant must be Computer literate.

 Person specification

 Industry experience - Aerospace (ideal), Nuclear, Medical or Automotive (high end), Motorsport: all with high tolerances (+/-0.01mm, Airbus SO4 and S104 stds).

 Working to AS9100 / EASA Part 21 (G) standards (ideal).

 Must have good team working skills coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. 

 Flexible and forward thinker with a 'can do' attitude.
