THE COMPANY: Our client are Poultry and Turkey breeders and have bee supplying Farmers throughout the UK with the highest quality Turkey and Seasonal Poultry for over 50 years now.

Due to continued seasonal growth they now seek an experienced Turkey Livestock Assistant / Animal Husbandry Technician with experience in Animal Livestock Husbandry duties and a good knowledge of animal welfare codes & regulations to join their existing team where you will be based between Langworth, Alford, Spilsby in Lincolnshire.

THE ROLE: As a Turkey Livestock Assistant / Animal Husbandry Technician you will be based in Lincolnshire, working on farms in the Spilsby Area. You will be involved in all aspects of our clients Turkey farming business and Poultry Livestock Husbandry and will be a key part in the growing, rearing and breeding of turkeys. You will need to ensure Animal care is upheld and maintained at all times and ensure the all steps are met to ensure the safe and healthy rearing of poultry is upheld.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Livestock Husbandry or Farming role will ideally have experience in turkey or poultry husbandry and farming, but candidates with experience in other animal livestock husbandry or farming areas will be considered and are encouraged to apply. It is essential you have experience of working within Animal Welfare codes and should be able to display a good knowledge of bio-security matters. Due to the location of the role a Driving Licence and use of own vehicle is essential as is a flexible approach to working hours as this role can require frequent weekend work during seasonal periods.

Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Turkey Livestock Assistant / Animal Husbandry Technician role in Langworth, Alford, Spilsby, Lincolnshire :-

Must have previous experience in Animal Livestock Husbandry or Farming
Experience of working within Animal Welfare codes
Flexible approach to work and availability to work frequent weekends
Valid UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle
Experience in Turkey / Poultry Husbandry or Farming would be desirable
