2 X ATTENDANCE MONITORS (FIXED TERM FOR ONE YEAR)
Working 37.5 hours, 39 weeks, you will work alongside key staff to promote excellent attendance in all classes. You will monitor, track and follow up all non-authorised absences, with particular focus on ensuring students on Study Programmes attend all aspects of their course to improve the attendance rates in Maths/English classes as well as their core subjects and tutorials. As an Attendance Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring you provide a professional, customer focused point of contact with students, staff, parents/guardians/carers and external professionals. The ideal candidate will possess 5 GCSEs at C or above including Maths and English and have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Business and Administration, Customer Care or other related vocational qualificaton. You will have recent relevant experience of working with young people aged 14-19 and have an understanding of issues which may affect a young person attending college, and also have recent relevant experience of dealing with young people with challenging behaviour or barriers to learning.
