An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Engineer to join our client operate within the FMCG sector, based on the outskirts of Boston. The key emphasis of this role is to use both mechanical and electrical engineering skills / knowledge to maintain and enhance the performance of equipment.

You will be responsible for:
• Providing first class, flexible engineering support inline with production requirements at all time.
• Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained.
• Ensure engineering downtime is accurately logged, monitor repair times, and implement new procedures to reduce these.
• Ensure operating and maintenance manuals, diagnostic instructions and special tools are readily available to all engineering staff
• Ensuring that all H&S procedures and engineering best practices are adhered to at all times

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Time served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
• Previous maintenance experience - manufacturing environment preferable
• Advanced understanding of PLC & computer programming and data acquisition
• Self-managing - Must be able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
• Sound communication / training skills with ability to apply these when under pressure
• Ability to work alongside people with diverse skills and understanding
• Methodical record keeping is essential.
