One of the fastest growing business areas of Experian has a fantastic opportunity, Experian UK&I SME are looking for a Senior System Developer to join a dynamic and growing development team. This team takes pride in their culture to support others and drive continuous improvements, whilst taking time to celebrate their successes.
Reporting to the Head of Web Development, you will be able to distil complex problems through the application of design patterns. As a result, you will be trusted with architectural problems involving many systems, not just coding problems. It will be your responsibility to identify the priorities from a problem, determine what is in and out of scope, and make trade-offs in debating the merits and drawbacks of several options, while also considering development costs and operational maintenance.
You are accountable for ensuring that the governance, compliance and security requirements are adhered to when formulating solutions. You will also take lead for helping other developers break down complex requirements into more manageable tasks and reviewing the completion of these with the developer.
Your primary responsibility is to analyse requirements and test plans, and produce software, of a sustainable high quality, that meets the requirements, in order to continue to drive great customer outcomes. You may be asked to provide software that will be utilised on web sites, server or services, or databases depending your particular skills
Working in an iterative development environment you must have the desire to drive and implement continuous improvements within the IT function and take an active role to ensure the team's engagement and success.

Key Responsibilities
Work with other developer team members across organization, globallyHas strong communication skills and can explain solutions to technical and non-technical team membersWork in a cross-functional and geographically diverse environment using virtual toolsAnalyse, design and implement softwareIdentify and resolve software issuesAssess the health and performance of applicationsProvide appropriate research support to business groups within the organization Advise on options, impact on other business processes, and system priorities where appropriateReview project proposals, evaluates alternatives, provides estimates and make recommendationsIdentify potential process improvement areas and suggests options and recommends approachesUnderstand and adhere to Experian processes and policies including, but not limited to, software development lifecycle, product development lifecycle, governance and compliance and performance management
Technical Knowledge - knowledge in at least some of the follow technologies used within the business
Experience of large corporate/matrix organization processes and proceduresExtensive programming experience developing solutions that are secure, robust and scalableExperience working with Agile methodologiesExperience with web servicesExperience with public facing web applicationsExperience with high volume transactional systemsExperience with distributed system architecture and designsExperience with relational database technologiesASP.NET MVC (C#)HTML, CSS and/or, JavaScript Qualifications May require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
