Our client are looking to bring in a recently qualified Financial Controller with at least 18 months experience to provide day to day support to the Group Finance function reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, contributing to the overall management of the Accountancy Team and the Service Unit as a whole.

The post is responsible for providing oversight and guidance for all aspects of the Groups Accounting Focus taking responsibility for managing the internal and external reporting timetable. Working closely with the Group Finance Director and other members of the Senior Management team to produce a consolidated five year plan including cash flow, with regular reporting against the plan.

Main responsibilities:
. To ensure that the Company complies (financially) with statutory requirements / Accounting Standards and best practice guidance including the completion and submission of statutory returns in accordance with statutory guidance.
. To manage and ensure adherence to the companies accounting timetable on all matters for both internal and external reporting, fillings and returns.
To provide a consolidated monthly reporting pack and presentations to the Group Board
. To cover for the Group Finance Director as required.
. To assist the Group Finance Director with liaisons with the Companys external auditors in relation to accountancy issues. The post holder will deal directly with the external auditors on a number of accountancy-based issues on behalf of the Group Finance Director.
. To provide support in the production of the Five year plan and reporting actual against plan including cash flows.
. Constantly provide financial advice to senior managers, budget holders and members throughout the year including facilitating training sessions and workshops as required.
. To create and develop complex financial models to facilitate the continued development of budgeting monitoring and budget modelling for the company.
. To ensure that the appropriate internal controls are in place and that high quality, accurate reconciliations are undertaken and certified.
. The post holder will need to make decisions relating to individual financial issues, identify any issues at an early stage and propose solutions to ensure that the Company remains in the best financial position possible.
. Ensure that good quality records are maintained including good quality working papers.
. Contribute to working groups and project teams as directed by the Group Finance Director.
. To be the System Administrator for Sage Accounts and ensure the integrity of the data.
. To assist in staff development within the team and positively promote the
one finance team philosophy.

Salary - 40k-45k
Hours - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
