Sales Account Manager
Sales Account Manager required to join a leading engineering company to further develop their market presence in the UK and overseas. Our Client is a leading supplier of exhaust and emissions control systems to the commercial vehicle sector. Our Client has a strategic plan to develop new business with OEMs across the world; this recruitment is to further strengthen the current OE sales department. Your responsibilities as a Key Account Manager include the management and positive development of key accounts in order to maximise the profitability, whilst fostering an effective and commercially robust business relationship. Sales Account Manager Role: In conjunction with the line manager create a business development plan. Prepare annual sales budget and provide regular sales forecast. Manage existing accounts and developing new opportunities. Engage in strategic discussion with line manager to identify new products. Manage account pricing and maximise gross margin. Ensure the value proposition of products and services is used to optimise price and gross margin. Attend industry networking events. Report progress monthly. Sales Account Manager Requirements: HND or Degree Technical (maths, physics, chemistry, engineering) an advantage. Formal sales training. Minimum three years' experience in account management in automotive/truck/off-road equipment market. Able to liaise and communicate effectively with people at all levels and work within a Team. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Confident, self-motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and reliable. Able to work under pressure and adapt to and organise changing priorities. Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Be pragmatic and voracious, do what you commit to. Additional language skills desirable but not necessary. Must be computer literate: word processing, spread-sheet, presentation package and database. Sales Account Manager Benefits: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience - 39 hour week. Holidays - 24 working days holiday plus statutory days. Holiday allowance increases by one day per complete calendar year to a maximum of 29. Group Personal Pension Scheme which you will be eligible to join after 3 months continuous service, if you are under the age of 75, and are a UK resident. Death in service life assurance to the value of three times your annual basic salary whilst employed by the company.
