An exciting opportunity to join a busy purchasing department as a buyer in an aerospace environment based in Lincoln. As a buyer you will be required to react quickly to incoming requests and ensure orders are met on time and in full. Client Details Employing over 80 people from buyers and logistics specialists to service support functions such as commercial, finance and IT, we also provide component maintenance, repair and overhaul for a wide range of aircraft components. With a very experienced and advanced purchasing and procurement set up, the business are able to provide training and support through your career development. Description Responsibilities for the Buyer: The main responsibility for this role is to ensure the effective and efficient flow of information, goods and services throughout the supply chain, whilst complying with policies and procedures, health and safety rules, and quality assurance requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for receiving, monitoring and satisfying demand through the Inventory Management and Order Processing System (IMOPS), analysing quotations and issuing and maintaining purchase/repair/work orders. Profile The ideal candidate must have the following attributes: You must have experience of working in a commercial purchasing environment, gaining an understanding of the supply chain process and associated principles, as well as be educated to at least GCSE Grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent). Although not essential, it would also be advantageous if you had aerospace industry related experience and were CIPS qualified or working towards your CIPS qualification.
