Production Shift Manager / Section Managers Nights - 10pm-8am any 4 night from 7 £33,167-£36167 To manage Section Leaders for your area on a shift basis ensuring manufacturing is undertaken safely, to the required quality and GMP standards through targeted productivity interventions. (1 week to 1 month responsibility) Health & Safety - To drive the development a safe working environment for all employees in their area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the SHE policy through their section teams Quality Standards - To monitor and to take action to maintain quality standards in terms of GMP, food safety, product quality and presentation and housekeeping for their area Performance Management - To drive sections performance standards for their area through daily and weekly performance reviews and the use of management tools & KPI Training & Development - Owns training and development for their section defining and agreeing plans to ensure that the necessary skills are in place at all levels within their section Administration - Carry out necessary administrative tasks and produce data / reports as required including DWOR, T&A, holiday management and any other relevant data Continuous Improvement - To drive improvement actions for their section, including KPIs, waste management and production control processes. NPD - To liaise with NPD to run trials where required so that correct information is collected and then used to ensure the smooth introduction of new products to their area Adherence to Plan through Team - Ensure that their section teams are correctly deployed and are performing to standards in adherence to the overall manufacturing plan Communication - To deliver communication mechanisms providing two way effective communications, upwards, downwards and sideways to their area involving all parties. E.g. SEF, other functions, etc Recruitment - In conjunction with Human Resources in facilitate staff recruitment processes, induction and training The Person Skills & Qualifications Proven background of working within a production manufacturing environment managing multi functional teams. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge of HACCP, IOSH Managing Safely, Product Development, Technical and Food Safety NEBS of similar level qualification (although not essential) Experience of working within the food industry (preferred)
