£14.43 per hour plus 5% shift allowance

The Manufacturing Shift Manager Role:

This role is on a 3 shift rotation (6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am) Monday to Friday with a requirement for occasional overtime.

Main Function / Purpose of Job (Note: In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required).

+ To ensure all employees are fully aware of Health & Safety processes and procedures 
+ Supervise and control the allocated Operational Processes & Personnel to ensure production targets are met.
+ Manage Unit in a Cost effective manner and to budget constraints.
+ You will drive forward your designated areas and assist in any associated activities in order to effectively meet all key measurable, objectives and targets.

Principle Accountabilities:

+ Manage all Health and Safety aspects of your Unit (Your skills to include First Aider at Work - training will be provided)
+ You will perform Shift handover covering all necessary KPIs / aspects of the Unit performance
+ You are responsible for Manning board at start of shift, and aligning operational heads to meet customer build plan, 
+ Operate 5M methodology by Unit, covering all packaging and BOP'(Including Pace board analysis
+ Ensure all Employees are trained within unit, enabling the part produced and shipped, defect free
+ Manage Data Accuracy within Unit, and adherence to quality standards applied
+ Monitor / Manage Job Pack adherence, ensuring completion before starting Production
+ Ensure timely completion of any Human Resource issues
+ Supervise area/s in the absence of the Unit manager
+ Attend any training/development courses e.g. NVQ as required to maximise the role

Preferred Education & Experiences to fulfil role (essential & desirable):


+ Proven communication skills. 
+ Should be a strong and pro+ active communicator and Team Player
+ In depth knowledge of basic manufacturing / warehousing principles and processes. 


+ Qualification of Supervisory management (Nebsm / Diploma etc) 
+ ILM/equivalent qualification

Manufacturing Unit Leader, Manufacturing Supervisor, Manufacturing Shift Supervisor
