We are currently recruiting for a Lunchtime Assistant to work 10 hours per week at Glenside Resource Centre in Pinchbeck, Spalding, on a permanent contract. This position will require you to work 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

About the role

As a Lunchtime Assistant you will support the smooth running of lunch times within the centre. You will prepare lunches for individuals, ensuring that their dietary requirements are met and preparation guidelines are followed, whilst also helping colleagues and ensuring that the environment is kept clean and safe. You will also play an active part in assisting with individual's personal care and supporting them during the lunch time period.

You'll be part of a friendly team and there are always other people to turn to.

Glenside Resource Centre supports individuals (18+), many of whom have complex needs, learning disabilities and multi-sensory impairments, to participate in activities within the resource centre and the surrounding community. These activities are varied and include Rebound Therapy, swimming, music, communication and life skills. We work to provide stimulating, enjoyable sessions which enable and empower the individuals.

About you

You'll be a supportive person who is able to communicate well with a wide range of people. You'll be willing to learn new skills such as British Sign Language which we will support you with.

Prior experience in this type of role isn't necessary as you'll receive a thorough induction and be supported to learn new skills by your manager and fellow team members.
