Our client has a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Technician who may have either Mechanical or Avionic & Electrical bias training to join their Company. Flexibility to travel is an essential requirement, to support and gain additional experience across all Aircraft Platforms on other sites.

The successful candidates will in report to the Chief Engineer primarily but on a day to day basis they will be the responsibility of the Licensed Aircraft Engineer on shift.

Aircraft Technicians - Permanent - Lincolnshire - Salary DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the ground movement of Aircraft
  • Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, dispatch and recovery prior to and post flight
  • To carry out scheduled maintenance, support defect investigation and assist with Schedule maintenance in accordance with the Maintenance Programme, Maintenance Publications and Company Procedures
  • Carry out engineering tasks within both CAA & MAA Regularity requirements
  • Complete accurately engineering documentation in accordance with procedures and frameworks
  • Correct filing and control of certification documentation to ensure traceability
  • Undertake and support Manual Handling and Driving Activities

Key Skills:

  • Aircraft Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Part 3, NVQ L3 or Military Equivalent
  • Aircraft background skills and knowledge bias ie Mechanical (Airframe & Propulsion) or Avionics/Electronics
  • Experience within a Military or Civil Aviation Environment
  • Committed to demonstrating a two-way engagement with all customers and stakeholders including people within the Company
  • Possess a flexible "can do" attitude
  • Good level of written and oral communication
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential
