Salary: GBP15,837 per annum
Location: Worksop / Dinnington

The post of Library Assistant is an excellent entry position into a career in library and information services, or more general customer service roles. It will provide the post holder with the skills and experience they need to deal positively with a very varied customer base with a wide range of needs, in a busy, dynamic environment.

The role will be based on frontline desks, directly supporting students and staff as they access resources in the libraries; issuing and returning resources including books, journals and magazines and supporting online services. The role also involves supporting students to become independent learners and helping to develop their basic IT skills.

The post holder will gain the confidence to support people in a variety of different situations. They will develop their ability to think on their feet and will deliver a positive customer focused experience while dealing with an engaging and challenging user base.

As the role develops there is the opportunity to gain experience in a range of administration duties and engage in projects to help deliver our service.
