UK Sales Manager - Engineering

Our client is a world leader in the design and build of a wide range of packaging machinery for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. They have a recognized reputation for excellence. Known for their packaging innovations, the vast majority of machines are custom built. As such their expertise covers an incredibly wide range of products which offers their customers huge flexibility, far above that of their competitors. They are faster, (producing industry leading speeds), incredibly durable, (presenting less-downtime), produce less waste and offer higher environmental returns than other products. As part of their expansion plans they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales / Business Development lead to open up and grow the UK market share. With complete exclusivity of the UK your duties will include: - Identify and prospect new business from cold - Build and manage a strategic sales database - Promote and grow brand awareness across the UK - Reach out developing key strategic relationships across the industry - Attend tradeshows, exhibitions and key networking events - Providing detailed pricing proposals, completing necessary bid and tender documentation - Helping clients to identify and solve technical packaging / manufacturing challenges In a tough economic environment and with pressure on margins you'll be pleased to be selling such a quality product. You'll have a strong pool of mechanical and electrical technical talent behind you, assisting you with any design challenges. Due to the start-up nature of the role within the UK it is essential that applicants have direct high-level sales experience within the packaging machinery industry. Food, beverage and pharmaceutical sector knowledge is required. In return, there is a strong package on offer. A basic salary, (up to £60K), with a bonus scheme providing on target earnings of £80K per annum. A company car or allowance is also on offer. Due to the location of our client's offices we are looking for applicants who are based within Yorkshire / North West or North Midlands. A degree of remote working will be available.
