Account Manager - Engineering
We're proud to present a super opportunity for an astute Technical Account Manager to join a fast-track design and engineering business at an enviable stage within their current time of expansion. Our client is a very well-respected Engineering Service Provider, operating within the Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries. They are keen to add to their commercial team with this exciting opening. As an Account Manager your primary responsibility will be to expand existing relationships across their current portfolio of blue-chip key accounts. There is no requirement to bring on new cold customers, instead your expertise is required to develop a strategy to maintain, maximise and expand all potential revenue opportunity / spend. As a strong relationship builder, you'll enjoy working in a client facing role. You'll work alongside the existing sales team, project managers and senior management team. This is an autonomous role and as such you will be expected to proficiently undertake the following duties: - Initiate and develop relationships with all key accounts, cross selling wherever possible - Attending customer sites to understand complex engineering challenges - Provide a senior consultative approach - In conjunction with key colleagues design key client strategies and solutions - Estimate and prepare detailed proposals, quotations and formal tenders - Front technical presentations, selling and negotiating Applications are invited either from a direct engineering account development background (FMCG or similar), or alternatively cross sector engineering professionals who can evidence commercial sales, negotiating and bid skills as part of their current role and are considering a move into the sales arena. It's essential that you have a strong engineering background, preferably with some knowledge of engineering design, manufacture and installation. The role involves regular travel to customer sites therefore you must be flexible to travel across the UK when required. In return, our client is offering a high basic salary, company car or allowance and bonus.
