OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
We are a small family run business in the leisure industry and are looking for an enthusiastic person to run the accounts department.
*Update and maintain Sage accounting system, including both posting transactions and improving system to suit.
*Reconcile various bank and control accounts
*Accounts payable- ensure all invoices posted accurately to Sage and prepare periodic lists for payment runs
*Ensure Accounts receivable effectively managed including suitable credit control
*Prepare quarterly VAT return
*Liaise with external payroll providers and external accountants
*Work with the GM to improve the provision of management information
*Assist with general office duties and be an important part of a small effective team
