The Planning Enforcement and Trees team is responsible for the investigation and resolution of breaches of planning control, and for maintaining the Council's tree stock and dealing with all matters relating to tree protection.

We are looking for someone to assist the delivery of the Council's planning enforcement service.

This role includes undertaking site visits and investigating suspected breaches of planning control, and assisting the Council to regularise confirmed breaches of planning control either by successful negotiation or by use of enforcement action.

The post holder must be a good team worker, self-motivated and self-disciplined.

Excellent customer care skills, diplomacy, and an ability to handle conflict are essential to this role. Previous experience in a planning enforcement role would be beneficial, although training opportunities will be available to the right candidate.
